This privacy policy explains what personal data Ariamax processes when you visit ariamax.nl or get in touch with us, why we process it, how long we keep it and which rights you have. We process personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Dutch GDPR Implementation Act (UAVG).
Ariamax, established in Rijswijk, the Netherlands (Chamber of Commerce number 42005482), is the controller for the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us at contact@ariamax.nl; our full company details are at the end of this page.
This policy applies to the website ariamax.nl (including www.ariamax.nl) and to the messages you send us by email, phone or WhatsApp.
Our products have their own privacy policies, which apply when you use those products and take precedence over this policy for them: Lebacify (lebacify.com) and the game Hunt the Chicko! (chicko.ariamax.nl, its browser version and its mobile app). The advertising section below summarises what all of them have in common.
Contact form. When you send an inquiry through our contact form we process the details you enter: your first and last name, email address, phone number, preferred way and time of contact, the service you are interested in and your message. We also record the IP address and time of the submission.
Direct contact. If you email, call or message us on WhatsApp, we process the contact details and the content you share with us. WhatsApp is operated by Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. under its own privacy policy.
Technical data. Like every website, our web server keeps access logs with your IP address, browser type, the pages you requested and the time of the request. We use them only to keep the site secure and running.
Language preference. If you choose a language, a cookie remembers it (see the cookie policy). We do not use analytics, tracking or advertising cookies on ariamax.nl.
Contact form submissions are stored in the form's security log for 30 days, after which they are deleted automatically. The inquiry itself is sent to us by email; we keep that correspondence for as long as we need it to handle your request and, if it leads to an assignment, for the duration of our relationship and the statutory retention period that follows (seven years for records covered by Dutch tax law).
Web server logs are kept for a short period for security purposes and then deleted. The language cookie expires after one year.
We do not sell personal data and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We do use service providers who process data on our behalf and under our instructions:
Some of our providers are part of groups headquartered in the United States. Where personal data leaves the European Economic Area we rely on an adequacy decision of the European Commission (such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework) or on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, together with additional safeguards where needed.
ariamax.nl itself shows no advertising. Some of our products are free to use and are financed by advertising; at present this is the game Hunt the Chicko!, in its browser version and its mobile app.
In those products, advertisements are served by Google (Google AdSense for the browser version, Google AdMob for the app). As a third-party vendor, Google uses cookies and similar identifiers (such as your device's advertising ID) to serve and measure ads, and may serve ads based on your prior visits to that product or to other websites and apps. You can opt out of personalised advertising through Google's Ads Settings, and you can learn how Google uses data from partner sites and apps via the links below.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the product asks for your consent before personalised ads are shown; declining still lets you use the product. You can change your choice at any time through the "Privacy options" control in the product. The product's own privacy policy describes this in detail.
ariamax.nl only sets a functional cookie that remembers your language choice. Our cookie policy lists it, explains the third-party requests this site makes and describes the advertising cookies used in our products.
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access: the site is served over HTTPS only, form submissions are rate-limited, access to our systems is restricted to the people who need it, and our providers are bound by data processing agreements.
Under the GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable format. Where processing is based on our legitimate interest you can object at any time; we will stop unless we have compelling legitimate grounds to continue.
To exercise these rights, email contact@ariamax.nl. We will respond within one month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
ariamax.nl is a business website and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16 through this site. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
We update this policy when our services, our providers or the law change. The date at the top of the page shows the latest version; substantial changes are announced on this website.
